The award-winning book Mururu in the Amazon will soon be republished by Globo.
Mururu is a small one-person boat that navigates like a floating leaf in the immensity of the Amazon waters. Mururu is the cask of a young girl who presents herself as follows: “I am just as I am called: Andorinha…I travel from river to river and when it gets too warm, I throw myself into the water, belly first. At school, I became Dorinha. Since then, I carry this division within me: I am Dorinha on the outside and Andorinha on the inside.
